La Chitarra Viola

Questo progetto nasce dall’incontro intimo e visionario tra chitarra, viola e voce, e si configura come un attraversamento del tempo: un dialogo continuo tra memoria e creazione, tra ciò che è stato scritto e ciò che rinasce oggi sotto una nuova luce.

Il programma si muove lungo un arco storico ampio e suggestivo, che prende avvio dalla musica barocca di Johann Sebastian Bach per giungere a composizioni originali contemporanee. Non si tratta di una semplice successione cronologica, ma di una vera e propria revisione storica: molte delle composizioni proposte nascono infatti da brani preesistenti, rielaborati, trasformati e riscritti secondo una visione personale, poetica e profondamente attuale.

Le musiche del passato diventano così materia viva, terreno fertile per nuove narrazioni sonore. Frammenti, armonie e strutture antiche vengono attraversate, ascoltate e riplasmate, fino a fondersi con un linguaggio originale che porta la firma dell’autrice. Il risultato è una musica di ampio respiro, sospesa tra rigore e libertà, tra scrittura e improvvisazione, capace di parlare tanto alla tradizione quanto alla sensibilità contemporanea.

Il dialogo timbrico tra chitarra e viola, arricchito dalla voce, crea uno spazio sonoro intimo e insieme potente, in cui ogni brano diventa un racconto, un paesaggio emotivo, un ponte tra epoche diverse. La musica non viene mai citata come oggetto museale, ma vissuta come esperienza presente, necessaria, viva.

Il progetto sarà prossimamente inciso dalla Casa Musicale Eco, a testimonianza di un percorso artistico che unisce ricerca, profondità espressiva e una forte identità autoriale.

Un concerto che invita l’ascoltatore a un viaggio nel tempo non lineare, dove il passato si riflette nel presente e la tradizione si trasforma in nuova possibilità creativa.

This project was born from the intimate and visionary encounter between guitar, viola and voice, and is configured as a crossing of time: a continuous dialogue between memory and creation, between what has been written and what is reborn today in a new light.

The program moves along a wide and evocative historical arc, which starts from the baroque music of Johann Sebastian Bach to reach contemporary original compositions. This is not a simple chronological succession, but a real historical revision: many of the proposed compositions are in fact born from pre-existing pieces, reworked, transformed and rewritten according to a personal, poetic and deeply current vision.

The music of the past thus becomes living matter, fertile ground for new sound narratives. Fragments, harmonies and ancient structures are crossed, listened to and reshaped, until they merge with an original language that bears the signature of the author. The result is a wide-ranging music, suspended between rigor and freedom, between writing and improvisation, capable of speaking to both tradition and contemporary sensitivity.

The timbric dialogue between guitar and viola, enriched by the voice, creates an intimate and at the same time powerful sound space, in which each song becomes a story, an emotional landscape, a bridge between different eras. Music is never mentioned as a museum object, but lived as a present, necessary, living experience.

The project will soon be recorded by Casa Musicale Eco, as a testimony to an artistic path that combines research, expressive depth and a strong authorial identity.

A concert that invites the listener to a non-linear journey through time, where the past is reflected in the present and tradition is transformed into a new creative possibility.

Il Duo chitarristico formato da Mariangela Pastanella e Leopoldo Saracino è nato dal felice incontro di due musicisti la cui esperienza musicale spazia dalla musica antica a quella moderna e contemporanea. Le loro interpretazioni si propongono di unire al rispetto scrupoloso del testo e delle prassi esecutive storiche, idee artistiche personali e innovative. In questo senso va considerata la scelta di suonare strumenti storici e l'approfondimento dello studio degli strumenti antichi della famiglia della famiglia della chitarra e del liuto.

The italian Guitar Duo composed of Mariangela Pastanella and Leopoldo Saracino was built after the meeting of two musician whose musical experience span from ancient music to modern and contemporary repertoire. Their interpretations have the aim of blending the scrupulous respect for the original text and the historical perfomance praxis with new and personal musical ideas. From this point of view is to understand their choice to play original historical instruments of the family of the guitar and the lute.
